Dr Alenka Zupančič is awarded the Udine Filosofia Prize for the important contributions to the field of philosophy

The award will be presented at the Mimesis Festival, which will take place in Udine from 18 to 20 and 25 to 27 October

Alenka Zupančič is this year's recipient of the Udine Filosofia Prize for important contributions to philosophy, awarded since 2019 by the Italian cultural association Territori delle Idee in collaboration with the Mimesis publishing house in Udine. The award will be presented at the end of the month as part of the 11th Mimesis Festival.

On 26 October at 19.00, Zupančič will present her latest book Disavowal, published by Polity earlier this year. The Italian translation of the book, Disconoscimento, will be available in November by Meltemi and has been translated by Sergia Adamo, professor of Comparative Literature and Theory of Literature at the University of Trieste .
